TACO PIE

This is a very easy weekday dish you can do. It’s so good and it’s perfect if you are a big family or need some lunch boxes for work. And you can choose what you want to have in your taco pie. I chose some ingredients I just had at home. :)
The pie dish I used was 27cm.

For the pastry:

3 dl of flour
125g cold butter
2-3 tablespoon of water
1 teaspoon salt

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees. Mix the flour and butter into a grainy mass. Add water and salt and work the dough together quickly. Press the dough into a greased pie dish. Use a fork to make small holes. Let it rest in the fridge for about 20 min for extra crispy pastry. Pre-bake the pie crust for about 10 min.

Then to the filling:

500 g of minced meat, (I had beef)
1/2 chopped onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 chopped chili, without the seeds
1 red paprika, cut into small pieces
1 can of corn
1 bag of taco seasoning mix

Fry the chopped onion, garlic and the chili in olive oil, then add the minced meat. Season it with the taco spice. Add the paprika and the corn at the end. :) When the pastry is done, let it cool a little. Then add the filling.

The sauce:

2,5 dl of creme fraiche
200 g of salsa sauce

Mix everything and add it on top of the pie.

Then I chose to put some sliced leek and mozzarella on top (or you can have grated cheese instead). Then in to the oven for about 15 min. Or until the cheese has melted and is a bit golden brown. :)
