Who knew so much good things could fit on a small slice of bread. Bacon, creamy ricotta, basil and fig jam, all on top of a buttered baguette slice. What a combo!
Ingredients
1 package of bacon
1 sliced baguette
3 tbsp butter for frying
200 g ricotta
1 handful fresh basil for garnish
fig jam
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
olive oil
Do this
- Fry the bacon in the pan or use the oven, but do not let them get too crispy. Put aside. When they have cooled, cut each slice into three parts.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Heat a pan with butter and toast the bread slices on both sides until they become golden.
- Spoon the ricotta on each slice of bread, and then put into the oven so the ricotta will be slightly warm, about 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish each toast with a small spoonful of fig jam, bacon slice, sprinkle with sea salt, freshly ground pepper, chopped basil and drizzle over some olive oil.
